How to Deposit & Withdraw Indian Rupees (INR) on Stake with UPI

Stake supports INR through UPI. Here is the step-by-step for deposits and withdrawals, the timings to expect, which ID documents pass KYC first time, and when crypto is the faster option.

How to Deposit & Withdraw Indian Rupees (INR) on Stake with UPI

Stake is best known as a crypto casino, but it also supports a range of local currencies β€” and for players in India that means Indian Rupees (INR) via UPI. If you'd rather not deal with exchanges and wallets, here's exactly how INR deposits and withdrawals work, what to expect on timing, and how to get through verification without back-and-forth.

First: online gambling rules in India vary by state. Make sure it's legal where you live before you deposit.

Step 0 β€” Turn on INR in your wallet

Log in, open your Wallet and go to Deposit. Toggle from crypto to fiat (local currency) and pick INR. That's it β€” your wallet can now hold and display rupees.

How to deposit INR with UPI

  1. Wallet β†’ Deposit β†’ choose INR from the currency list.
  2. Select UPI as the payment method.
  3. Enter your UPI ID (virtual payment address) and the amount.
  4. Double-check the details, then approve the request inside your UPI app.

Timings to know:

  • You have a 15-minute window to approve the payment in your UPI app.
  • Funds normally show in your Stake balance within 75 minutes.
  • If a deposit fails but money left your bank, it's returned within 7 days.

Still stuck after that? Contact Stake's live support with the UPI transaction reference β€” it speeds things up massively.

KYC: which documents work

To withdraw INR you'll need at least KYC level 1, sometimes level 2, plus a verified email and phone number. Accepted ID includes:

  • Passport
  • Driving licence (both sides)
  • Voter ID / EPIC card (both sides)
  • PAN card (both sides)
  • Aadhaar card (both sides)

Get it approved first time: upload a real colour photo (not a scan or digital copy), shot on a flat surface with all four corners visible, sharp and readable, undamaged, and valid for at least three more months.

How to withdraw INR

  1. Complete KYC (above).
  2. Wallet β†’ Withdraw β†’ choose INR.
  3. You'll be sent to the payment partner's page β€” enter the amount and your UPI ID.
  4. Confirm. Allow up to 3 days for the money to reach your account.

Important: you generally need to withdraw using the same method you deposited with. If you deposited by UPI, plan to withdraw by UPI.

Common problems

  • Payment timed out: you missed the 15-minute window β€” start a new deposit.
  • Money left the bank but no balance: wait the 75 minutes, then contact support with your UPI reference. Failed payments return within 7 days.
  • Withdrawal blocked: almost always unfinished KYC or an unverified phone/email.

INR or crypto?

UPI is the easiest on-ramp if you've never touched crypto. Crypto is usually faster for withdrawals and works the same everywhere. If you want to try it, our beginner guide to buying crypto and Solana deposits guide walk you through it, and the casino currency guide compares the options.
